Network Engineer

Establishes and maintains network performance by building net configurations and connections; troubleshooting network problems. Network Engineers will be responsible for core infrastructure design and implementation using industry best practices. The position requires candidates to have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
- Validate Security controls are functioning as intended in accordance with NIST 800-x and RMF compliance requirements.
- Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
- Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
- Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.
- Experience with Cisco (NEXUS, Catalyst, ISR, ASR, ASA).
- Proficient with NetQoS, IOS Version management, and IOS upgrades
- Proficient with Routing and Switching technologies
- Proficient using syslog and other log aggregation tools.
Required Certifications:
Cisco CCNA (Routing/Switching/Data Center)
Preferred Certifications:
VMWare VCP
Dell Server/Storage Certifications
